National Honor Society

The purpose of the National Honor Society is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to give service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of Springfield Central High School. Membership is an honor bestowed upon students judged to be outstanding in scholarship, character, leadership, and service.

Selection of members is by majority vote of the faculty council, consisting of five faculty members appointed by the principal. To be eligible for membership, candidates must be members of the Junior or Senior Class, and must have been in attendance at Springfield Central High School for one semester.
