Department of Mathematics

Four math credits are required for graduation. Math MCAS is given to Grade 10 students. Sophmores and Juniors take PSAT. All Seniors take SAT's. Students are assigned to Advanced Placement, Honors or College Prep level courses based on ability and performance. Math Apps 2 is an intervention provided to students who have not passed MCAS. Problem Solving is given to Algebra 1 students in need of support to stregthen thier math skills. An after school tutoring program is available twice a week. Students may participate in Mathletes, which is a team that competes against local students monthly. The National Math Honor Society is in 5th year and recognizes talented aspiring student mathematicians.
