Ray Dandurand

Ray has been the Director of Band and Percussion Ensembles for 9 years. During this time Mr. Dandurand has developed a system of musical excellence that helps promote and develop fine and outstading student musicians to support the band and percussion ensemble programs. He received his Bachelor’s in Music Education in 2002 from the University of Massachusetts @ Amherst , Master of Music in Percussion Performance from the University of Illinois in 2005, and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from Westfield State University in 2008. Mr. Dandurand received the “Teacher of the Year” award for the City of Springfield in 2003.

Prior to arriving at Central High School, Mr Dandurand excelled as a percussion performer and xylophone soloist in the U.S. Air Force Bands program performing in venues all over the United States.

Jessica Fumasoli

Jessica has been the Colorguard Instructor for the past 3 years. She is also a physical education, health education, and dance education teacher at Central High School. Ms. Fumasoli also directs the SCHS Dance Team, spring musical choreographer, and Indoor Percussion Program Guard Instructor. Ms. Fumasoli graduated from Springfield College with a Bachelor’s in Physical Education and Dance. She studied at dance studios throughout New York and Massachusetts, took master dance classes with teachers such as Frank Hatchett and Paul Dennis, and performed at Jacob's Pillow in Lee, MA and at SUNY Purchase Theatre in Purchase, NY. In her spare time Ms. Fumasoli performs with the Springfield Armorettes.

Kathleen Czarnecki

Kathleen is the Marching Caption Head for the Screamin Eagle Marching Band for the past three years. Ms. Czarnecki is also a part of the design team and marching instructor for the Central Indoor Percussion program. She is also employed as general music and instrumental music teacher at Gerena School in Springfield. Ms. Czarnecki is also a world class clinician and is the lead instructor at the Geroge N. Parks Drum Major Academy. Ms. Czarnecki spends her summers traveling the U.S. teaching the basic of marching.

Mrs. Jeanne Parks

Mrs. Parks holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from West Chester University, along with a Master of Music Degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Choral Conducting from University of Massachusetts/Amherst, and a Master's of Applied Psychology in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University in Keene, NH. Mrs. Parks has taught marching, concert, and jazz band as well as chorus. She is the owner and president of The George N. Parks Drum Major Academy, the nation's leading summer workshop for high school drum majors and band leaders.
